Our Programs
We have designed and adapted our programs to meet the high standards of today’s world of education. By providing a supportive environment, and STEM based activities we make sure each child receives exactly what they need.
Our Rooms
Pinecone Room
Wobblers and young toddlers learn through senses and reflexes. Through professionally planned activities, motor and self-care skills as well as bilingual competence develop naturally at this stage. According to experts, children will learn better when they developed a strong sense of security in their infant and young toddler time. Our educators in Pinecone Room provide stability of care and build up strong relationship through primary care giving.
Maple Room
Toddlers enjoy using their imagination in playing and in interactions with other children, and they learn through creative playing. Toddlers work on their sense of self at this stage, so learning to balance between inner and outer control can be a great challenge at this age. Maple Room supports toddler needs and focuses on guiding the children to learn inner control, develop the sense of others and get ready for the next development stage. We help toddlers grow in confidence and self-esteem in an engaging environment.
Potty Training is also a very important topic in our 2-3 year old room. Teacher observe children closely and develop personalized plan for your child.
Cedar Room
Preschoolers are energetic and ready to learn. Our age appropriate and engaging curriculum encourages preschoolers to further develop their skills in science, technology, engineering, arts, reading, writing, and math spontaneously. We prepare them to get ready for kindergarten. Children will also develop leadership skills through caring and helping younger peers, families and community.
Nutrition
Nutrition is Important during early childhood development. Carbohydrates are broken down by the body into simple sugars. These sugars circulate in the bloodstream and are used by the body's cells for energy. The brain also uses one of these simple sugars (glucose) as its primary energy source. This is why children need carbohydrates to stay alert and active throughout the day.
Protein is an important nutrient that provides essential amino acids that helps children grow and develop properly. Protein is a part of every cell in the body and helps to build and repair muscle, tissue, skin, nails and hair. Protein also helps to build hormones, enzymes and a healthy immune system.
Vitamins and minerals play an important nutritional role, supporting everything from the healthy development of your toddler's bones, teeth and eyes, to the creation of new cells. Learn more about some of the key nutrients that support your toddler's development as they grow, learn and explore.
We follow the USDA food guidelines and provide organic, natural food and fresh, homemade lunch from our kitchen.
Culture
Everything we think, say, and do is processed through our own cultural backgrounds. But because culture is absorbed and passed down from generation to generation rather than explicitly taught, we’re seldom aware of it.
In BIS, we through culture activities to help children build up their sense to histroy, geography, environment and surroundings, understand economics and economic concepts, civics and government diversity.
Our Culture Activities
Science
science learning in childcare is not just about acquiring scientific knowledge but also about nurturing a love for learning, fostering critical thinking skills, and preparing children for a future where scientific literacy is increasingly important. It lays the groundwork for a well-rounded education and sets the stage for a lifetime of curiosity and exploration.
Technology
While introducing technology in childcare, it is crucial to strike a balance and ensure that screen time is age-appropriate, monitored, and aligned with educational goals. When used responsibly, technology learning can be a powerful tool to enhance the overall development of young children and equip them with skills for the digital age.
Art
Art is an integral part of early childhood education, offering a rich and multifaceted approach to learning. It not only supports cognitive and motor skill development but also nurtures creativity, emotional well-being, and social skills that form the basis for lifelong learning and success. BIS offer different art activities to help children understand Chinese language and cultural.
